Tosin Adarabioyo set to join Chelsea

Tosin Adarabioyo will depart Fulham at the end of June, the club has revealed. The defender will be among several players to leave Craven Cottage with Chelsea expected to sign the 26-year-old.

Adarabioyo was signed by the Blues ahead of Newcastle who were also interested in the services of the defender. Tosin Adarabioyo may be Enzo Maresca's first signing. Enzo Maresca also joined Chelsea from Leicester to replace the departed Pochettino. Once it is official, Tosin Adarabioyo will essentially replace Thiago Silva in the Chelsea team.

Prior to moving to Fulham, Adarabioyo was on loan at West Brom and Blackburn.

His career began in the Manchester City academy, where he presumably met Joe Shields and Laurence Stewart, both of who are currently at Chelsea. There was also a short connection with Maresca, who oversaw City's youth squad; however, Adarabioyo left two months after the Italian arrived and was never a player for him.The arrival of Tosin Adarabioyo will likely have an impact on the future of Trevoh Chalobah who may leave Chelsea in the Summer.
