Mykhailo Mudryk Position at Chelsea

Mykhailo Mudryk's 2024–2025 season has great significance in his career as he aims to become a sensation for Chelsea. Despite receiving excellent ratings throughout his tenure at Shakhtar Donetsk and securing a high-profile transfer to Chelsea, the player's English dream has yet to actualize.

Mykhailo Mudryk joined Chelsea in January 2023 and bagged two assists that season. The next season, the 23-year-old recorded two assists and scored seven goals. He had one goal in each of the FA Cup and EFL Cup, and five in the Premier League.

Last season, Mykhailo Mudryk was in and out of the team. He was unable to make the left wing his the previous season. He started 18 of the 31 games he played last season.

Mykhailo Mudryk could regain his form and confidence during the EURO-2024 where his nation is in the same group as Belgium, Slovakia, and Romania. Mykhailo has been integral to his country throughout and a good performance during the tournament will help boost his confidence for the coming season.

However, due to the tournament, the player will not have adequate time to work with Enzo Maresca during the pre-season. Enzo Maresca got a lot from his wide men in Leicester and he could help Mykhailo achieve his full potential.

At Leicester, Maresca had some of the best wingers in his system; when the 2024–2025 season begins, that will still be the case at Chelsea. In preparation for his first season in the head coach's chair, the 44-year-old will be hoping to accomplish the same results at Stamford Bridge based on what he got from Fatawu and Mavididi last term.

With an additional year of Premier League football under his belt, Mudryk should only become better, and everyone will be hoping that Maresca's hiring pushes him to even greater heights in 2024–2025.
