Chelsea's Possible Line-up against Manchester City

 Chelsea is set to meet Manchester City in their first game of the 2024-2025 season. Chelsea look to begin their season on the positive after great performances during the last games of the previous season. Enzo Maresca will have an opportunity to meet and work with his new team during the season.

We try to look at the available players and decide how Chelsea would line up against Manchester City in their first game. I will go with a 4-2-3-1 formation. In goal, I would prefer Robert Sanchez. At the back, I would go with Gusto, Tosin, Colwill and Chilwell.

In the midfield, I would partner Enzo Fernandez with Caicedo. Ahead of them, I would love to have Cole Palmer, Nkunku, and Noni Madueke. Jackson will lead the line during Chelsea’s first encounter with Manchester City.

With the transfer window opening soon, there will be new purchases and sales in the Chelsea squad. Additionally, some of the players will have come from injuries hence making the selection process difficult for the Coach.

Enzo Maresca will have adequate time during the pre-season to access his players and decide which players suit his system and give them a chance to start the first game of the season.
