Chelsea Looking to Permanently offload Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku is strongly lined with Napoli after Antonio Conte joined the Naples. The two won the Seria A together at Inter Milan and it is reported that Antonio Conte fancies the opportunity to work with the Belgian striker again.

Lukaku was on loan at Roma last season where he scored 21 goals in 47 appearances. However, Roma was unable to secure his services permanently because of Chelsea’s high asking price. The striker has a release clause of £ 38 million which has put off other suitors including AC Milan.

Given what they accomplished together at Inter, it is not surprising to learn that Conte wants the Belgian to play at Napoli. It might not be simple to land Lukaku, though.

Luca Cerchione claims that due to Lukaku's age, Napoli is only keen on arranging a loan deal rather than signing the player long-term.

Conversely, Chelsea seems primarily interested in permanently offloading the Belgium striker.

AC Milan and Napoli have already reportedly made a loan offer to the Blues, who have declined it.
