Chelsea Consider using Nkunku as a striker

Media outlets have been reporting that Chelsea has been in the market in search of a striker to compete with Nicholas Jackson. Chelsea have failed to agree deals for their top targets including Benjamins Sesko and Jhon Duran. The blue cooled their interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen because his style of play does not fit in Enzo Maresca’s system.

Even though Chelsea continues their search for a striker, they have an asset in their current squad that can play the striker’s position. Nkunku joined Chelsea from Leipzig in a deal worth approximately £ 70 million. However, last season, the 26-year-old was limited to 14- appearances due to constant injuries. This means that the Blues supporters did not have the opportunity to see Nkunku at his best last season.

Nkunku is a versatile forward and can play in any position in the forward line. Chelsea is considering using Nkunku as a striker in case they fail to land their targets during the transfer window. The forward has a lot of experience and if he remains fit, he can help Chelsea in their fight of becoming an elite team again.

Nkunku should be able to provide some more firepower in attack at Chelsea. He scored 70 goals in 172 appearances during his time in Germany. If he remains fit, he can show Chelsea supporters how good he is.
